You won’t just get an NHS standard test with us; you’ll have a retinal photograph taken for free too
Your vision is important, so your eyes deserve to be looked after by trusted experts. Here at Connolly Opticians, your eyes will be looked after by people who go the extra mile on a daily basis – especially in your important eye examinations. Eye examinations are crucial, no matter what your age or how healthy you feel. As well as assessing your vision, did you know that our opticians will also check your eyes for any signs of disease?
In fact, we can sometimes spot conditions such as high blood pressure, or diabetes, before you are even aware of a problem. In your examination, you will have your eyes and vision thoroughly examined. Chris or Nicola will also discuss your lifestyle with you, to find the best corrective treatment to suit you.
We think that these appointments should be a relaxing experience, which is why you will always be with us for at least 30 minutes. This ensures that your results are completely accurate and also gives us a chance to get to know you better!
All eye examinations (subject to NHS recall guidelines) are funded by NHS Scotland. But although the NHS only requires us to do retinal photographs for patients over 60, here at Connolly Opticians we do this for everybody, free of charge. This extra step helps us to obtain an even more detailed view of the back of your eyes, meaning that we are not only able to detect early signs of any issues, but we can also monitor changes in your eyes between your visits to us.
